Big bug
I wrote about the discovery of a massive sea scorpion fossil yesterday for Spiegel ONLINE. The thing -- which died hundreds of millions of years ago -- was 2.5 meters long, and weighed 180 kilos. That's freaking huge.

My name in the news!
As anyone I've talked to recently knows, the plight of dollar-earners living in Europe is a sad one. I was quoted prominently in a recent Reuters article about just that this week. The dramatic headline: "In Europe, weak dollar wrecks Americans' dreams." While I'm happy to say it's not quite that bad, it's getting pretty rough.
